This recipe has been REQUESTED. The dressing is insanely good, I’d eat it off of a spoon and the croutons are just as dangerous. I served this the other night with some friends over and if I don’t share this recipe soon they will surely disown me. So here it is folks, the salad of your wildest dreams.
Make the dressing first so you can throw it in the fridge until it’s time to eat. You can mix it by hand or use the handy dandy food processor which by now you know I use a lot.
Add in the milk, sour cream, mayonnaise and avocado. Mix on slow, and pulse while you add in the dill, parsley, garlic, onion, salt pepper and lemon. Don’t be shy on the pepper folks. Chill until ready to make. Or dip celery in it until it’s time to eat like me.
For the magical croutons sourdough is key I highly recommend not changing that. Cut into chunks and add to a pan with olive oil. Tossing them in the pan with garlic, rosemary and a little salt and pepper. Easy and delicious.
Feel free to cook your turkey bacon in the same pan. Cook until crispy, let cool and then crumble.
Start to mix your salad, diced avocado, crab and bacon. Add dressing and croutons and season with a bit more flaky salt and pepper.
Serve it up, pairs well with sausage and or chicken… I know from experience. Also beer.
