My Story
I love food. I have loved food since I was little, and judging by my 8th grade photos, I had never missed a meal. I grew up in an Italian household in Buffalo, New York, more specifically a Sicilian household. I have been to numerous countries and cities and I hope as you follow along you enjoy the stories intertwined with some amazing restaurants and food. I draw so much of my influence from kitchens that boast some of the best chefs in the world. They are not famous, nor do they want to be, but rather generations of women who know that the best ingredients grow in your backyard. When choosing what recipes I wanted to share with the world I found that I don’t have one influence, and I don’t have one type of cooking I prefer. I hope that through my recipes you find the mix of cultures coming together in one perfect dish or should I say -ish. My cooking is an extension of myself. I am not one thing or one place, I have been molded and shaped with each new experience. This website is for the people who want to bite into a panini and be transported from their one bedroom apartment to a cobblestone road in Italy. You are not alone.
¡Buen Provecho!
