Banana bread is a gift to the ADHD people of the world. AKA me, the woman who forgets she buys things, until it’s questionable whether I can eat it anymore. Banana bread just always takes me back to childhood, I love loading on the butter while it’s still warm and having some tea on the side. I had a few leftover pears along with the Bananas and thought to myself… oh that’d be really fricken’ good. I was right, it is indeed really fricken’ good. Also, I never knew how much I needed cinnamon butter at every meal, but I think that’s my new thing. Enjoy my version of Banana Bread, which is obviously the best.

Preheat the oven to 350°.

In a bowl mix together your dry ingredients. This includes, Flour, Sugar, Baking Soda, Cinnamon, Turmeric, Nutmeg, and a bit of Salt. Stir.

In another bowl mash up those perfectly soft bananas, egg, and vanilla. When it’s mashed you can add in that dry mix and combine well. If you have a hand mixer it will help, if not I had no problem giving it a good whip with my fork.

Pour into a sprayed or buttered bread pan.

On top of the mix add diced pear, a little cinnamon, and a little sugar. One can never have too much sugar. I press them into the dough just a bit.

Bake in the oven for about 50 minutes.

To make the cinnamon sugar butter, in a saute pan, heat up a half stick of butter, along with cinnamon and sugar, mix and pour into a jar. Put in the fridge and mix periodically for about an hour to make sure the cinnamon doesn’t settle.

Butter those slices of banana pear goodness and enjoy!
